Castlemont Relays 2007
Your high
School is invited to participate in�
Castlemont Relays 2007.� It will
be held Saturday, February 24, 2007.�
Field events will begin at 9:00am and running at 11:00am.� All races and/or heats will be timed with
automatic timing systems and wind gauges where appropriate.� Medals will be given to the top 3 in each
event.� There will be no team scoring.
Running
Events
There is
no set time schedule.� The first running
event will begin promptly at 11:00am with the girls running first and then
following with the boys.� The number of
heats will depend on th number of participants for each event.� We will follow the order of events.� Only 3 athletes per school in each individual
running event. �Relays are A & B
teams only.

Field
Events
All field
events will begin at 9:00am except the High Jump.� The High Jump will begin directly after
girls' discus.� The bar for HJ will start
at 4ft for the girls and boys at 5ft.�
The bar will go up 4inches until 5ft for the girls and 6ft for the boys,
then 2 inches at a time.� All field
events teams must have four entrants to compete.� Athletes will throw and jump in flights by
school.� Everyone will have 4 jumps/or
throws.� Starting with the girls� Shot
put and Boys will start the Disc.� The
best mark of each team member will be used to compute the total team mark.� Remember these are relays so if 1 of the 4
entrants scratches/or foul out you have 3 athletes with legal marks which will
be used for the total team mark.

requires 3/16 inch spikes or smaller.�
All athletes will need to check in with the clerk of the course when he
first call is made for their event.� The practice
field is in front of the entry gate.� All
athletes and coaches will have specific colored wristbands for admittance to
and from the practice field.� Results
sheets will be posted near the bathrooms.�
No locker rooms.� Bathrooms will
be open, they're located at he far end of the bleachers by the start of the 100
meters.� There will be a concession stand
open. Parking is available on school grounds.�
General admission, age 12 & up $7.00, children under 12 free.
There
will be a coaches meeting in the middle of the field at 8:30am.� Please send a team representative.� Coaches are not allowed on the field during
the course of the meet.� Coaches are also
not allowed in the clerking area.�
Violation of these rules will subject your team to disqualification.

To Enter
All
entries must be submitted online at www.directathletics.com.� if you do not have a password you must
register.� Complete entries at
directathletics.com by 5:00pm Saturday, February 9, 2007.� Entry fees must be received by Friday
February 16, 2007.� Telephone calls or
faxes will not be accepted.� There will
not be any day of meet registration.
