The IEC has become the premire showcase of Inland Empire, state caliber (State Rankings) talent from San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. The feature race is the sweepstakes race, where the top schools in each county compete head to head for the bragging rights in their respective county as well a the over-all Inland Empire Champion.

The Inland Empire Challenge
(Riverside and S.B. County Championships)

Canyon Springs and Rancho Cucamonga High Schools welcome and invite your Cross Country Team to Southern California�s most exclusive Cross Country Invitational. The IEC is the premier showcase of Inland Empire, State caliber talent from San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.
The meet is now divided into three (3) Challenges: Small Schools (CIF Div. 4 & 5), Medium Schools (CIF Div 3 & 2), and Large Schools (Div 1) which includes the feature race, the sweepstakes race, where the top schools in each county compete head to head for the over-all bragging rights in our counties, as well as the over-all Inland Empire Champion.

Mark your calendars Date: October 10/07/06 (two weeks before Mt SAC).

Time:          7:30 AM to 11:30 AM
Place:         Guasti Regional Park. (Near the Ontario Airport) Gates open @ 6:00 AM
Cost:          $40.00 per team per race (5 or more athletes)/ $8.00 per individual.
Results:      Immediately following every race, posted on the Internet that day.
Registration:    Will be done through website. See Information below.

������� In the absence of extreme circumstances, teams must enter a varsity team if they are entering a JV team.
Divisions:   Three (3) racing divisions based on 2006 CIF CBEDS Classification: A Combined Div IV & V division (Small Schools); A Division I (large Schools); and a combined Div II and Div. III (Medium Schools), plus a Sweepstakes Race, where schools, regardless of size will race with the best nine schools from Riverside County and San Bernardino County. Meet management will determine sweepstakes placement (factors: CIF ranking, strength of program, and prior Invitational success.)

Level Awards: Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Frosh/Soph; Medals for the top 35 runners in each race.
Trophies to top 2 teams from each county (4 trophies), Champions and runners up, in Small School�s and Mediums Schools� Varsity Race (F/S, JV Div 1 Varsity and Sweepstakes, top 3 teams per race, regardless of county). Perpetual Trophy for the number one boys and girls team of the day from each county. All-County awards (Riverside, San Bernardino) to top boys� and girls� Varsity team from each county in each race.
Inland Empire Championship Plaque to the #1 Sweepstakes team.

All County Awards: Given to the 7 fastest boys and 7 fastest girls of the meet by grade level and by county, regardless of race.
