Humboldt XC Invitational Entry Information

DATE: Saturday, Sept. 2nd, 2006

TIME: College and open women's 5k – 9:00 AM
College and open men's 8K – 9:45 AM
Junior High Fun Run – 1 mile – 10:15
High School Boys -5k – 10:30 AM
High School Girls- 5k – 11:00 AM

SITE: Patrick's Point State Park. Located just off Highway 101, 20 miles north of HSU campus. Take the Patrick's Point exit and follow the signs. Course map available on race day or on request.
COURSE: The park is very wooded and situated on the bluffs next to the ocean. The course is partially on asphalt and partially on dirt trails. Flats are recommended. The temperature tends to be around 70 degrees and sunny at this time of year.

RACE DISTANCES: College Men: 8000 meters / College Women: 5000 meters
High School Boys & Girls – 5000 meters / Junior High – 1 mile

ENTRY FEE: $30 for boys and girls High School or Junior High Teams. If you are entering a men's and a women's team representing the same affiliation, combined fee will be $50. Individual Entries are $6. Checks made to HSU Athletics.

AWARDS: T-shirts to top finishers.

LOCKERS: You should plan to use your hotel facilities. Lockers/showers will be
available at the gymnasium at the university. Bring your own locks and towels.

TRAINER: An athletic trainer will be available at the course beginning at 8:00 AM.

MEET PACKETS: Packets will be available at the race site on Saturday morning starting at 8:00 AM.

This meet is a collegiate meet in which we will be running Youth and High School events before the collegiate meet and during it. If there is a great deal of interest we can add events.
