Are you a Track and
Field program looking for that �last chance� invitational for their younger and
up and coming athletes?� What about your
athletes NOT competing at your league finals?�
What about your athletes that did not qualify for CIF and want one last
chance for a personal best?� We�re here
to provide a great opportunity for all Track & Field programs from
It will be held at
Colony High, which features a 9 lane all-weather facility and was the site of
the 2004 Division II CIF Southern Section Prelims.� It will feature a Fully Automatic Timing
system and will give your younger athletes one last chance to leave the season
on a positive note!� We will post all
results the same day and will be accessible to the internet by that night!
We want to make this a worthwhile experience!� In our first year, we want to keep the field down to a maximum of 20 schools.� With that in mind, please contact us as soon as possible if you�re interested in participating!�
DATE: May 6th, 2006 (last Saturday after the regular season)
STARTING TIME: 8:00 am.� There will be a coaches� meeting at 7:30 am.� Gates will open at 7 am and coaches may begin receiving their packets at that time.��
SITE:
FEES: $75 per gender per school ($150 max); $3 per athlete per event and $10 per relay
ENTRIES: Four per event per school.� All entries must be faxed or emailed by Tuesday, May 2nd.� We will take corrections up to the day.� There will be more details to follow as we will provide you with a website that lists all events and entries beforehand.�
ORDER OF EVENTS: CIF Order of Events.� As we get closer to the invitational, we will send you an updated schedule.
AWARDS: Top 5 in each event will receive
medals.� Team trophies will be given to
the top three teams per gender. ��We will award one Male and one
Female Athlete of the Meet.
STARTING
HEIGHTS:
Girls High Jump � 3�10�; Boys High Jump � 4�10� / Girls Pole Vault � 6�0�;
Boys� Pole Vault � 7�6�
SPIKES: The surface requires the
use of 3/16�pryamid spikes.� They will be on sale the day of the meet but
all spikes will be checked upon entrance into the stadium.
ADMISSION
PRICES: $3.00 - General Admission, $1.00 - 12 and under
CLERK
OF THE COURSE: The
clerk of the course will be located at the west end of the stadium.� Field event athletes should report to their
respective event area to check in for competition. Athletes are responsible for
checking in with the clerk at the last call for their event. Please have your
athlete, or a coach, listening for these calls from the clerk.
BATONS: Relay teams must bring
their own batons.
DRESSING FACILITIES: Have your athletes come
dressed to compete. Restroom facilities will be available. No showers or towels will be
available.
ATHLETE'S ADMISSION: Athletes must have their hand stamped at the
athletes check in gate for admission to the stadium area. Athletes must be
wearing their uniform, and have spikes ready to be checked.
SCRATCHES: Please notify us immediately
of any scratches at the below numbers or e-mails so that we may notify
other coaches.� This want
to ensure a full field for every event and make for a better meet. SCRATCHES
MUST BE MADE NO LATER THAN THURSDAY, May 4th, 2006.
