Dear Coaches, Your High School is invited to participate in The First Annual 2006 Castlemont Relays. It will be held under the lights at Castlemont High School on Saturday, February 25, 2006. Field events begin at 4:00pm and running at 5:00pm. Only 20 Teams! No more. First come, first served. Come out and enjoy our new facility which includes: An 8 lane All-Weather Track, a shot put ring, and Long/Triple Jump Pit. All races and/or heats will be timed with automatic timing system and wind gauges where appropriate. Medals will be given to the top 3 in each event. There will be no team scoring. Running Events 4x100m (G) Field Events All field events will begin at 4:00pm except the High Jump. The High Jump will begin directly after girls’ discus. The bar for HJ will start at 4ft for the girls and boys at 5ft. The bar will go up 4inches until 5ft for the girls and 6ft for the boy, then 2inches at a time. All, field event teams must have four entrants to compete. Athletes will throw and jump in flights by school. Everyone will have 4 throws/or jumps. Starting with the girls Shot Put, Boys will start with the Disc. The best mark of each team members will be used to compute the total team mark. Remember these are relays so if one of the 4 entrants scratches/or foul out you have 3 athletes with legal marks which will be used for the total team mark. All athletes will need to check in with the clerk of the course when the first call for their event is called (Running/Field). The practice field is in front of the entry gate. All athletes and coaches with have a specific color wristband for admittance to and from the practice field. Results sheets will be posted near bathrooms. There will be a coaches meeting at 4:30pm in the middle of the field. Please send a team representative. Coaches are not allowed on the field during the course of the meet, coaches are also not allowed in the clerking area. Violation of this rule will subject your team to disqualification. Track requires 3/16 inch or smaller spikes. Parking is available on school grounds. No locker rooms. Bathrooms will be open. They’re located on the far end of the bleachers by the start of the 100 meters. There will a concession stand open. General Admission, age 12 & up $5.00, Children under 12 free. How To Enter ALL entries must be submitted online at www.directathletics.com. If you do not have a password you must register. Complete entries at directathletic.com by 5:00pm Friday, February 16, 2006 @ 9:00pm. Entry fees must by received by 5:00pm Friday, February 17, 2006. Telephone calls or faxes will not be accepted.
