Cross-Country Invitational

Note: Meet will be capped at 35 teams/1000 runners, whichever occurs first.

Dear Coach,

Welcome back to the 22nd Annual Viking Opener Cross Country Invitational. Below you will find some general information pertaining to this year’s event. All scholastic entries will be submitted via email. Coaches interested in registering should contact John at [email protected], and registration instructions will be sent when they become available.

Host: Montgomery High School
Date: Saturday, September 17, 2004, 9a.m.
Site: Spring Lake County Park, Santa Rosa
Course: All divisions, 2.0 miles, rolling hills on dirt trails and paved bike paths.
Scoring: All grade-level races, the top 3 finishers for each team make up the team score.
Incomplete teams will be scratched from team scoring but those individuals will be
eligible for awards.

Alumni Race: Team scoring as above. All runners teamed according to high school they attended or high school
region (i.e. those from the same county, region, etc.). Wear your old school uniform if available!
Please register/pay the day of the race.

Entry Fee High School: $125 per school or $10 per individual, whichever is least.
Junior High School: $125 per school or $10 per individual, whichever is least.
Alumni: $8 per individual
Coaches: Free!

Awards
HIGH SCHOOL TEAM: Ribbons to each team member on 1st thru 4th place teams in grade-level races.
HIGH SCHOOL INDIVIDUAL: Medals to top 10 finishers in each division. Ribbons to finishers 11th through 20th in each division.
JUNIOR HIGH: Same as high school awards for both boys and girls.
ALUMNI: Same as high school awards for men and women.

9:00 Frosh/Soph Boys (5 max.)
9:20 Frosh/Soph Girls (5 max.)
9:45 Alumni + Junior High Boys and Girls
10:15 Junior Boys (5 max.)
10:35 Junior/Senior Girls (5 max.)
11:00 Open Girls (unlimited)
11:25 Senior Boys (5 max.)
11:45 Open Boys (unlimited)
12:10 Awards
