Royal Twilight
Invite We are excited to invite your track teams to the Royal High School Twilight Invite on Saturday, March 12, 2005. Our goals for this early season Invitational are to provide a safe, fun and competitive atmosphere for the athletes. In addition each team’s coach will be given a hard copy of automatic times (FAT) for every athlete who competes in the meet. As an added convenience, there will be no need for tedious meet entries. Athletes will be checked in at staging the day of the meet. This process keeps the meet moving fast by eliminating open lanes. Format: We will offer the standard track and field events for Frosh/Soph Boys, Frosh/Soph Girls, Varsity Boys & Varsity Girls. Each athlete will be able to participate in a maximum of four events. Field Events will begin at 10:00, while the running events will start at 10:00.
Awards: medals will be awarded to the top five (5) overall finishers in each event per division. Entry Fees: $250 for participation in all four divisions or $70 per division entered. To reserve your spot or for further information regarding the meet please
contact: [email protected] or (805) 578-0168 Come be a part of what’s going to be an exciting & extremely efficient meet!!!
Jay Sramek This year we are adding a modified Multi Event Competition to the Royal Twilight Invite. Each school will be allowed to enter a maximum of 3 athletes per division into this new and unique competition. Awards will be given through Fifth place in all divisions. Athletes will need to participate in 3 of the 7 events listed below which must include at least one field event and one running event. These events are all part of the regular meet. For each entered athlete we will simply enter their marks in the multi event to be scored. All Multi Event athletes will need to be declared prior to the start of the meet. These athletes will simply need to check in at the finish line tent with all three of their competitor tags on before they compete in their first event. We will mark all three tags so that the multi event athletes can be identified at the scoring tent after each event is complete. We will be using the 2002 IAAF Multi Event scoring tables. For illustration purpose only, listed below are times/marks that will score approximately 600 points for each event out of a possible 1500. This should give each coach an idea which events a particular athletes will score the most points in. The actual points an athlete scores will depend on their result. Boys 600 Points Girls If any athlete competes in more then three events, only the first three events will be scored. Relays will not count toward multi event scoring. Coaches may use multi event athletes for your relay teams.
