FAX: (805) 884-1175
E-Mail: [email protected]
Address: Len Miller, Track and Field
Santa Barbara City College
721 Cliff Drive, Santa Barbara, CA 93109

CRITICAL INFORMATION (READ!):
1) No adds will be accepted the day of the meet.
2) Do not enter athletes with marks below the minimum
standard for that event! They will not be accepted
and there will be no refunds.
3) In order to speed up the field events, we will have
"no measure" flags in the throws and jumps.
Four entry sheets (one for each division) are included
in this packet; make additional copies, if necessary.)
Fill out the information for each athlete, including
name and qualifying mark in each event you enter that
athlete. Also complete the Alphabetical Roster forms
for Varsity and Frosh/Soph levels with relay members
included.
Note the following information:
1) Only two entries allowed from each school for
individual events.
2) Only one relay per event per school.
3) Estimate times for relays that you have not run
this season. A No time for a relay means a poor lane
assignment! HONESTY SHOULD TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER A "DREAM-WISH" GUESS!

ENTRY FEES:
To calculate your entry fee, multiply the total
number of competitors on the alphabetical roster times
$5.00. Make checks payable to "SANTA BARBARA EASTER
RELAYS." We prefer you bring the check with you the
day of the meet. If you mail it, make sure it arrives
to "Len Miller, Santa Barbara City College, 721 Cliff
Drive, Santa Barbara, CA 93109" before the meet or a
late fee of $10 per division ($40 maximum) will be
charged. A $50 fee will be charged to teams who enter
the meet and do not attend.

LJ/TJ: Due to the reduction from 3 pits to 2, we will
need to be strict with staying in order during the
flights. If an athlete misses a jump because of
another event, that jump will be lost. It is the only
way the committee could determine to ensure we get
through varsity boys and girls and frosh/soph boys and
girls jumps.

AWARDS: Medals will be awarded to the top 5 in each
event (not heat or flight!) in Frosh/Soph and Varsity
Divisions. Athletes will receive their medals on the
awards podium at the conclusion of each event.
TIMING: The Lynx timing system will be used.
DRESSING FACILITIES: Locker rooms will be available
for boys and girls. Bring your own towel.
TRAINER: A trainer will be set up on the track. Bring
your own tape.
SPIKES: Spikes from 1/8" to 1/4" needles will be
required for all events. Packets of a dozen 3/16"
spikes will be available at the athlete entry gate for
$2.50.
GATES: The stadium will open at 8:00 a.m. All teams
must check in at the top of the stadium. The coach
will pick up the packet and pay entry fees, distribute
chest numbers, and supervise the entry of the athletes
into the stadium. PLEASE INFORM PARENTS AND FRIENDS
OF ATHLETES THAT THEY MUST PAY AND ENTER AT THE TRACK
LEVEL.
C.I.F. RULES WILL APPLY:
Uniform rules and field event time limits will be
strictly enforced. NOTE: EXCEPT FOR THE HIGH JUMP
AND POLE VAULT, ATHLETES WILL BE ALLOWED 4 JUMPS OR
THROWS.
CANOPIES/RADIOS:
There is room for canopies only on the top 5 rows of
the stadium. Do not block the finish line view of the
announcer. NO radios or boom boxes will be allowed in
the stadium; have your athletes leave them home!
SPECTATOR ENTRY FEES:
Adults- $5.00 Students with ID- $3 Children- $1
PARKING: Parking will be available next to and across
from the stadium. Both entrances are on Loma Alta
Drive.
HIGHLIGHTS: If you have any athlete you would like the
announcer to highlight during the meet, please write
their names on a separate piece of paper with your
school name, the event(s), and the athlete’s
outstanding marks.
