Saturday, September 23, 2006 @ Seaside, OR (Three different courses)
Brea girls win overall; shorthanded Brea boys 4th overall!

Close to 100 schools turned out in unique format where competitors from each
school must compete along one of three courses. When all is said and done,
results from treks along each of the three courses are tallied for results.
Here were Brea's top kids in each race:

Boys Easy Course: Adam Murrieta 14:02 - 12th out of 361
Girls Easy Course: Rachel Moon 17:00 - 8th out of 323
Boys Moderate Course: Erich Yanoschik 20:48 - 5th out of 416
Girls Moderate Course: Sarah Whitaker 25:44 - 5th out of 338
Boys Difficult Course: Jared Roush 22:25 - 13th out of 503
Girls Difficult Course: Vanessa Hancock 26:07 - 8th out of 326

the unranked Gauchos took first in the Roy Griak (Mn) team competition with 87 points,
beating out ninth-ranked Arizona State, last year's team champs, who scored
108. They were followed by No. 13 Baylor, No. 16 Minnesota, No. 23 Michigan
State and No. 26 Virginia!
