Trabuco Hills boys impress in season opener!

Photos by Rich Gonzalez
At left, Trabuco Hills Coach Liam Clemons poses with six members of the Mustangs' varsity squad,
which clocked an impressive 78:42 on a 3.08-mile course to edge Upland (79:12) by 30 seconds.
Trabuco Hills entered the season ranked #6 in the NTN California Region rankings and Upland
entered at #4. Arcadia, the #10-ranked team in the NTN California Region, placed third here.
At right, Upland is a girls team we project to turn many heads this year as one of the most improved
squads in the Southland. The Highlanders, who entered the week ranked 9th in CIF-SS, won the girls'
division with a team time of 101:00. Trabuco Hills (102:36) edged Bolsa Grande( 102:46) for second.
Upland's Ryan Gamboa (15:06) and Bolsa Grande's Rocio Pelayo (18:32) had the day's top times.
