Palisades Charter star from LA City much improved!!

A talk with one of the LA City's All-Time top great female runners

Interview

With tearful eyes and very heavy hearts...

Jack Welch, far right, with siblings.

Below is from an email we received last week from Valley Chr-Dublin coach Jack Dixon:
"I thought the Dyestat community would want to know that former star
Redwood Christian distance runner Jack Welch passed away this morning
at his home in Castro Valley. Details of his passing are not available yet. Jack
had been making a valiant effort to recover from injuries suffered in a
car accident 2 years ago. He loved to run & compete. He was the best
sportsman I have ever met. He will be missed by many, but today he is in
Heaven with his Lord Jesus & he is no longer encumbered by a body that
was very difficult to control. Jack won his last race by beating us all to Heaven!"
On Friday, October 6, There will be a viewing (no service) on Friday, October 6th
at 11:45 a.m. in the Chapel at Neighborhood Church. The burial at Lone Tree
Cemetary will follow. Both the viewing and burial are open to the public. Memorial service
will be at 3PM Saturday October 7th at Neighborhood Church in Castro Valley.
