San Pedro's girls are running very well out of the gates in seeking
an L.A. City title and state meet successes! San Pedro beat Mira Costa and Kevyn Murphy, who broke Olga Aulet-Leon's course record!

Mira Costa obviously put in a fine summer to improve as among the
bigger surprises on the Southland scene. "MiCoHi", ranked third in
the CIF-SS/DyeStatCal Division II rankings, beat 9th-ranked
Torrance and 10th-ranked West Torrance, 57-71-87. Great race!

"The New Zealand team got in front of the start of a race and did what their coach described as a
"challenge dance". It was a series of stomps, screams, and body slaps directed at the opposition.
Their coach said, "It's a dance we do to show our opposition that we are here to compete without
cheating, without anger, without hate, & without malice. But, if there is a competition or challenge,
BRING IT ON, fair and square"
. It sure left our kids with a surprised look on their faces.
