California HS coach Mark Karbo and David Klech;
Louisville HS sprinter Elizabeth Olear's perfect smile!
Michael Coe adds to Cal's haul of distance stars lately!!

Michael Coe: "I'm honored to join their program.  Cal is going to make history, and I
want to be a part of it.  Mark, Jake, and Yosef took the big chance last year, and now
I'm following their lead.  I've always been a Pac-10 guy, and in the end, I felt most comfortable
staying here."  Coach Peter Anderson:  "Berkeley is a great decision for Michael, especially
being able to train with guys he knows and has raced against --that's big..."

"UCLA just had everything I could want in a college and was a perfect match. It was a really
tough decision but UCLA just felt right in my gut. I'm looking forward to get to train with
Kevin Craddock & start one of the finest hurdling dynasties ever at UCLA." -- David Klech

"I felt comfortable with the people there. I thought with their coaching staff that I could excel in the
heptathlon. I want to be a judge and I know that they have a good law program." -- Shana Woods

"Even though it was a tough decision, I felt (USC) was the right place for me. I wanted to stay
locally. I felt comfortable with the coaching staff and the people there. It's a place where I can
turn things around and improve myself.'' -- Myra Hasson, Gardena High School sprinters
