400m against world-class stars. At right, San Luis Obispo
distance ace Jordan Hasay clocked an amazing 4:29.70 for
1500 meters at the local USATF Championships! WOW!

Loyola HS senior Mark Matusak bolted past the pacesetters
to close in 2:00 for the last 800 en route to a big 4:07.94 win
that was a lifetime best, a CIF-SS Division II record and the
2005 national outdoor leader. He later won the 3200 in 9:14.07!
Arroyo's Luis Medina (right behind Matusak in above photo)
also had a huge day with a 4:08.63/1:53.55 double! WOW!
