Jordan Hasay sets new American 3000m Youth Girls record

Joe Hartman photos

Livermore, CA – (from Joe Hartman) - On Saturday June 25 Jordan Hasay of San Luis Obispo
posted a time of 9:37.24 in the 3000 meter event to break her old American Record time
of 9:48.02 set at last year’s Junior Olympics in Eugene, OR.  Jordan was competing at the
Pacific Association JO Trials at Granada High School in Livermore.  She also ran a time of
4:33.30 in the 1500m on Sunday June 26.  This time surpassed her prior best from 2004.
Jordan will next compete at the Region 14 JO trials, also at Granada HS in two weeks.

American Records (from usatf.org)

1500 m  4:34.02 Jordan Hasay Arroyo Grande, CA Eugene, OR 7/30/04

3000 m  9:48.77 Jordan Hasay Arroyo Grande, CA Eugene, OR 7/31/04
Jordan does have a 4:29.70 from earlier in the year over 1500m that would be better
than her 4:33.30 and 4:34.02 from last year (ed note)
