Follow a
team or individual's progress through the race at approximate 1000m
points!
Lynx system innovation allowed those at the race to follow the contest
on huge jumbotron screens
and coaches were given hand-held palm pilots that allowed them to follow
their individual runners!
This innovation added a ton to enjoyment of all at the meet with seeming
close races "translated"
for you before your eyes by the Palms or Jumbotron!! AMAZING!!

"When I spoke about George &
his coaching years at the service, I had all the athletes in the audience
come up on stage w/ me. Directly behind me in green are the last of
George's runners ... my seniors now
who were freshmen back in 2002 during George's last year. Overall
it was a very nice service-tribute
for George. The auditorium at Poly holds about 1000 & it was half
full! It was nice to see so many
people from different factions of his life come show their support."
