exchange problems on next leg - 43-05 Meet Record National Leader TJ (taking
rival Erica McLain's MR down!) - 19-05 LJ win - strong 4x4 relay carry
David Gettis - as Mike Kennedy of T&F News said, "Let's see how the 4x4 goes."
Gettis' answer - amazing 45.8 solo carry for 3:11.49 winners (one of California's
top 20 times ever and third fastest ever thru mid-April behind Henry Thomas
anchored Hawthorne's 3:07.40 and Obea Moore anchored Muir groups!) - WOW!!

as 17 year old High Schooler in 1948 or Rafer Johnson (Kingsburg) from 1954
Mathias won State HS Meet 1948 in HH & LH and 4th in Shot Put - won Olympics that summer!!!
Johnson took State Meet HH - LH & was #6 LJer in US 1954 - took third AAU Sr Decathlon 1954
Rafer went on to Gold Medal 1960 Olympics in Rome (hurt for 1956 games)
Dixon Farmer (Current Oxy AD) at Miramonte Orinda recorded #3 prep Decathlon score ever
