Joe Kaufman (seated) signs with William Jessup University and WJU -
Coach Vogt renews scholarships for
Tom Harrer, Jacob Rydman, Tim Steele, and
Sara Kelly. - Joe Kaufman started out his high school track career
at Hollister High
School before transferring to Rocklin for his senior year. His track and
cross county talents significantly improved at the community college level.
Kaufman won the 2002 Bay Valley
Conference and qualified for the Community
College State Track & Field Championships in the 10,000m
by placing second
with a time of 31 minutes, 33 seconds. He went on to place 4th in the State
Meet. At the 2001 State Cross Country Meet, Kaufman ran the 4 mile in a
time of 21:06 to place 21st of 192 runners.
