College Park (Pleasant Hill, NCS) coach Chuck Woolridge drew rave
reviews from the crowd
of 111 registrants for this summer's final clinic. Woolridge, whose team
finished ranked 5th
in the U.S. last year, will be strong again in 2004 -- and they have 90
freshmen out this summer!

The
ancient stadium in Olympia will hold the shot-put competition on Thursday.
As a tribute to the origin of the
Olympiad, no banners or corporate logos will be displayed during the competition.
Electronic devices will be kept
at a minimum. The 15,000 spectators will sit on the grass surrounding
the field; tickets for these events will be free.
