Marshall Clark (Saratoga) HS - Monday (9/30) Coach Marshall Clark (Saratoga HS) was out jogging with his team... at the corner of Saratoga Ave and Big Basin Way he colapsed and died instantly. Our prayers to his family, team and all who he touched. More info to follow...(Note and picture from Hank Lawson) - Marshall Coached at Stanford, University of Montana, and San Jose State University. Always pleasant, just saw him this weekend at Stanford looking great - real shame.

Central Park Invite - (CCS) - Sweep for Milpitas in the Team area (Boys 36-46 over Los Altos) - Girls 35-48 over Los Gatos - Matt Grilli (M) 12:01.5 winner over Jeremy Taylor (LA) 12:21.4, with Marie Nguyen leading 1-2 sweep for Milpitas 13:35.7, with teammate Erinn Kim 13:40.9 in second - Results and pictures

Frontier League Meet (SS) - College Park (Oxnard) - Fine Smaller Schools Meet had very exciting Boys team contest with Nordhoff winning 38-41 (Santa Clara) and Oaks Christian both 41 (6th runner broke tie) - Tony's (Arredondo and Urban) of Santa Clara 1-2 at 16:29 and 16:30. Lindsey Hewett (Nordhoff) Girls winner 19:52 with her team 1-2-3 on way to 21-52 win over Oaks Christian. Results

Sunkist League Meet (SS) - Highly ranked Rubidoux dominates Boys contest early, with Antonio Jiminez (Rub) the winner at 15:58 - second through eighth all within nine seconds as the Falcons win 24-42 over King (Riverside). Girls have King winning with 32 over Norte Vista's 50, with Megan Fairley 19:05 (King) winner - Results and Picture

Desert Valley League Meet (SS) - A lot of good runners were effected heavily by the 111 degree temps (!!!) . Lake Cahuilla is a very difficult course to begin with, and the heat didn't help. Indio's boys' squad, as improved as any statewide this season, dominated their division, with a win at 22 points behind the 1-2 sweep of Juan Murillo and Joel Cota. Coachella Valley (Thermal) won the Girls contest with 37 points with Denise Vega (Indio) the winner at 21:48. Results
