Junipero Serra Top 7 Invitational

Junipero Serra High School will host the 17th annual Serra Top 7 Invitational track meet on Saturday, April 16, 2005. There will be Varsity and Frosh-Soph divisions for boys and Varsity and Junior Varsity divisions for girls (Girls must be in grades 9-11).

Like last year, we will follow a traditional meet schedule with a few minor adjustments.

Due to the continuing construction on campus, please inform parents and other spectators that seating is limited in the facility as well as on-campus parking. Because of the new facilities, a few policies for athletes and coaches:

  1. 3/16" spikes only (spikes will be checked and athletes will be removed from their events if not compliant)
  2. No food of any kind is allowed on the infield. This especially includes sunflower seeds
  3. All team tents should be set up on the baseball outfield in the designated areas

Timing will be done by a FinishLynx fully automated system. Results will be posted during the meet and also available after the meet on the internet (www.serrahs.com, www.lynbrooksports.com, www.dyestatcal.com ). Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event for each division. Perpetual trophies will be awarded to the team winners in each division.

The entry fee is $5.00 per athlete per event and $10.00 per relay team. The maximum fee is $250.00 per school. Please make all checks payable to JUNIPERO SERRA HIGH SCHOOL.

All entries this year must be completed on www.EZMeets.com. You will need a password along with your school name prior to entering your athletes. In order to receive your password, simply e-mail Coach Marheineke. All entries MUST BE ENTERED BY SUNDAY, APRIL 10. Because of limited space this year as a result of construction, we ask that you limit your entries to 3 athletes per school, per event, per division. If you have a fourth athlete that you believe should be in the meet, please contact Coach Marheineke. No meet day entries will be accepted, including substitutions. All entry fees must be paid on or before the day of the meet. No refunds will be given for no-shows.

Heat sheets and an updated time schedule will be posted on our school website, www.serrahs.com by Friday April 15.

In the event that field event sizes become large, reasonable minimum marks and opening heights based on entry marks will be established in the interest of time.
