DAL League Trials & Finals @ Los Altos HS - May 4th/6th 2004 - Information

4/28/04

Due to busing schedules and AP testing the schedule will run as last year:

Tuesday: Coaches meeting at 2pm, all events 3pm

Thursday: Field events 230, running events 245

This worked out fine last year and if all goes well we should be able to get out of there
by 7ish.

Logistics:

Buses can drop athletes off in front parking lot. Cars will have difficulty with parking
arriving while school is still in session. I suggest you park in the back of the school
on one of the side streets. If you are coming from San Antonio, take your first left off
of Almond (Valencia) then turn right on Jardin. The baseball field will be on your right
and there are several streets on your left you can park on. Come through the baseball
field gate to reach the track.

Teams will need to set up their tents on the lower field just below the finish line.
There is not a lot of seating in the bleachers so please allow that for the spectators.
Large gate entries will be closed and locked at 230 and all spectators, etc will need to
go through the far gate near the finishline/snack bar.

LJ/TJ coordinators might want to bring rakes since we only have one large and one small
rake at los altos.

We left it that High Jump was open since Gunn is always willing but Lynbrook expressed some interest at Post Mtg last
year. Someone get back to me so I can finalize it with Filios.

At the preseason mtg SCVAL entries were 6 boys and 5 girls but CCS was rechecking some figures. I haven't heard anything
back from them. Julie - could you check to see if this is our final number?
