Viramontes (LG) wins the nice guy award by pulling our freshman

Lipkin to a PR in the 2 mile (10:18.8 for Lipkin).
Note:  Skrabe (LG) didn't actually win the shot.  Our official
wrote down a
wrong mark for him, and since she couldn't remember what his
actual mark
was, what she wrote down stood.  His next best throw was around
43 feet and
even he and his coach confirm that he didn't throw 49 feet.
Fortunately, it
didn't affect the meet, so we all agreed to let it go.

Girls:

Los Gatos sweeps the 400 with Penner (58.9), Hennessey (60.0),
and
Kirby-McFarland (60.3)
In the 100:  Geiger (G) 12.4, Chavez (LG) 12.5, Dodson (LG) 12.7
In the 200:  Geiger (G) 25.7, Dodson (LG) 26.0, Fumia (LG) 26.9
Graham (G) wins the mile in 5:07.6, holding off a late charge by
Caldwell
(LG) 5:07.9.  Conell-Price (G) runs 5:25.5 to improve her 5th
place time on
our school record board and gets 4th in the race.
Krysia Zajonc (G) moves to 4th on the school record board in the
long jump
with a 17-03.75, but only gets third in the meet (Erickson (LG)
17-08.0,
Christiansen (LG) 17-04.0)
