Christian Taylor Jumps To 3rd USA Gold Medal!
After his impressive LJ bronze and TJ qualifer yesterday, the GA jump star follows with a super series and triple jump gold at 52-05.25!! Also, Becky O'Brien ME 4th in SP and Cameron Tabor OK 5th in DT. Eight Team USA athletes advanced to Sunday finals: Chanelle Price (800), William Wynne and Reggie Wyatt (both 400H), Ken Gilstrap (200), Chalonda Goodman and Ashton Purvis (both 200), and Julian Purvis and Jasmine Stowers (both 100H), plus both relays. The NY star and NON champ triumphed in the 400H Friday in 57.25, with Ryann Krais PA 3rd in 57.50. Then super CA soph Jordan was 2nd in the 1500 with 4:17.24!! - Also Christian Taylor GA scored a 3rd in the LJ, Conor McCullough CA 4th in HT, Meshawn Graham OH 6th in 400, Danzell Fortson TX 7th in 400, Dylan Ferris NC 8th in 800. Earlier in the morning, Taylor and Bryce Lamb set triple jump PRs in qualifying 1st and 3rd to final, Becky O'Brien ME qualified 3rd in SP, and NON champ Chalonda Goodman led 200 qualifiers. Wayne Davis II NC Sets Record and Wins First Team USA Gold!
