Boys - The qualifiers were the teams ranked 1-2 in DyeStat Southeast rankings this week. Oak Ridge ace Maclean O'Donnell won individual honors at 15:54.8 to lead the SE#1 team, catching local (Hoover AL) favorite Patrick McGregor 16:11.6 in the last mile. Story and pix

Prior Years - Greenbelt MD (Eleanor Roosevelt), Midlothian VA and Chapel Hill NC have been two-time finalists from the Southeast. The Greenbelt girls finished 8th in 2006, the region's only top 10 finish in the first three years of NTN.
This is the first Southeast regional championship meet for Nike Team Nationals. In previous years, regional representatives were selected by a committee. This year the decisions will be settled on the course. The top two teams here (both boys and girls) will qualify for the 4th national championship race at Portland Meadows race track, Portland OR, on December 1.
