California is a one-state region with no time for a regional championship since the state meet is the weekend before NTN finals. California gets two slots (both boys and girls) selected by committee in the 4th national championship race at Portland Meadows race track, Portland OR, on December 1.
Prior Years - California, which has been a one-state region since the beginning, has been one of the most well represented region at finals, with 16 finalists in the first three years. However, Simi West (Royal) boys in 2006, who finished second, is the only California team to make it to the awards stand.
