Results - Boys Story by Pete Cava, Girls Story by Elliott Denman New Rochelle, NY's girls earned a second win for the day with senior Cynthia Lloyd's 54-3 1/2 toss. It came in round three and served as a knockout to her leading challengers. Three of her six heaves bested the second-place 51-8 1/2 effort of Marietta, Ga. junior Allison Horner. A true future star of this event, however, is Casey Kraychir of Twenty-Nine Palms, Calif., a freshman who sent her implement on a journey of 51-1. No others broke 50. Boys Weight throw: After four tries at a Nike Indoor Nationals title, Trevor Kraychir finally succeeded Saturday. Kraychir (Twentynine Palms, Calif.) grabbed the lead in the first round and continued to increase it. His best throw of 81-4.75 came in the next-to-last round. It was the first NIN triumph for the Boise State signee, who's been competing here since he was a freshman. Ryan Loughney (Woodbourne, N.Y.) had a second-round heave of 73-5.25 that stood up for second place. Third place went to Craig Pearce (Woonsocket, R.I.). Pearce's best of 67-0 came in the third round. Kraychir, fourth in this event in 2006, comes from an athletic family. Casey Kraychir, Trevor's sister, is a top entry in Sunday's girls weight throw at the Nike Indoor Nationals. his brother Trent competed in the boys event last year.
