by Elliot Denman Uniondale, NY stayed in the lead for three laps but - boom -
when second-leg Raider surged to the front after her opening 200, this one
was over.
The Raiders, en route to a meet-record victory in 3:45.02, were not about
to be headed off at the pass.
It was Doris Anyawenu-Tasha Stanley-Tameka Jameson-Takecia Jameson for the
multi-tasking, multi-talented Raiders who won it going away for their fourth
relay win on the NIN program.
"We knew what the schedule was, we knew what we all had to do, we came
prepared," said Takecia Jameson.
California's James Logan High grabbed second in 3:49.21 while Uniondale
settled for third in 3:56.09, all out of the fifth and final section.
Ann Arbor, Michigan's Youth Track Club was fastest of the first four races
in 3:58.55. And a Blazin' Raiders B team won its own section in 4:01.04.
