| Getting a big triumph from Nathan Karr (15:24.9, fastest of the day overall), defending state champ Pioneer earned its spot atop the Michigan perch by scoring 72 to Pinckney's 118 in massive 41-team D1 field. Top-ranked Saline's girls got a 1-4 finish, led by senior Alex Leptich (fastest of day 17:56.6), but Rockford's depth won out as they made a bid for #1 in the state.
