Top Highlights:
  • After its unfortunate fall in the 4x100, St. Jago JAM came back and claimed the 4x400 crown in 3:15.66, with Bethel VA rallying late for 2nd 3:16.33 behind Javell Bullard's race-best 46.7 leg.
  • Manchester JAM came from behind in the final 200 meters to beat North Penn in the 4x800, 7:43.22 - 7:44.39. Despite the loss, North Penn's time was US#1.
  • Calabar JAM took over on the final leg of the 4x100, after St. Jago's 3rd leg went down with a cramp, and sped in for the victory in 40.74. Camperdown JAM was 2nd in 41.04, while Westlake MD was 4th in 41.38.
  • St. Jago JAM had the fastest 4x400 heat of the morning, running 3:12.81 in the last fast section. Meade MD (3:14.48), Bethel VA (3:14.71) and Long Beach Poly (3:14.85) all advanced to the final.
  • Kane PA sr Derek Horton, who recently spiked his PR from 15-3 to 16-0, topped David Slovenski ME in the pole vault, 15-09 - 15-05. He missed three times at a meet record 16-03.75.

More highlights and winners:
  • Corning Area NY sr Albert Johnson took the lead on his 5th jump and improved again on his 6th to win the triple jump with 49-00.25.
  • Nansemond River VA's James Taylor hit 23-10.75 and held off challenges from defending champ Tarik Batchelor (Kingston College JAM, 23-10.35)
  • Fox Chapel PA's Matthew Kann threw 173-05 to win the discus.
  • Calabar JAM's Andrew Riley was one of three who cleared 6-09 in the HJ, but with the fewest misses, he took the gold
  • Kingston College JAM's Andre Peart handled the 400H field in 52.25. Brothers Jermaine and Jerome Lowery (Father Judge PA) were 2nd (52.68) and 5th (54.14).
