Iain Trimble (Shawnee Heights) unleashes nation-leading 223-7 JT

Iain Trimbel (Shawnee Heights, Topeka) unleashed a javelin throw of 223-7 to lengthen his national high school lead, according the Dyestat Elite. Trimble reached his big mark on his second throw, and reportedly also had 218 and 215 throws in the series (full series not yet reported). Trimblel's throw broke the previous all-time Kansas best with the current javelin, a 219-5 throw by Garry Schwandt of Manhattan in 2003. Aubree Gustin (Seaman, Topeka) also had a long throw in the girl's javelin, winning at 136-1.

Micah Wesley (Highland Park, Topeka) won the girls SP at 43-2, and took the disc at 113-9. Other highlights included distance double wins from Sydney Messick (Seaman, Topeka) in the girls with a 5:15.71 1600 and 11:37.44 3200. Qa'shanda Boyles (Topeka High) won the girls 100 in 12.65, 200 in 26.11 and ran on the 50.57 4 x 100 champs. Clay Schneider (Seaman, Topeka) won the boys 1600 (4:32.84) and 800 (1:57.84). Havier Robinson (Topeka West) won the boys 100 (11.18), 200 (22.33) and ran on West's 4 x 100 champions (43.21). Jerald Fischer (Washburn Rural, Topeka) had a nice double (23-0.5/ 45-0) to win the boy's LJ and TJ.
