Kevin Colon leads Lee's Summit West to title; Jefferson City girls win big, Megan Kowalik (Wright City) individual champ

Note: Race times will be posted when reported. The Lee's Summit West boys put four runners into the top eleven to score 49 points and win the University of Missouri Cross Country Challenge. Kevin Colon led LSW, placing first (no times reported). Jefferson City was second with 69 points, while Hickman (Columbia 90) shaded Helias (Jefferson City 105) for third. Joey Walls (Hickman, Columbia), Dalton Moberly (Kearney), Ben Chapman (Glendale, Springfield) and Will LePage (Helias, Jefferson City) completed the top five. The Jefferson City girls rolled to victory, putting six girls into the top eleven and scoring 31 points. Lee's Summit West was second with 75 points, while Lindbergh (St. Louis) edged Blue Valley North KS 94-99 for third. Megan Kowalik (Wright City) won the meet, with Marie Kiekhaefer (Jeff City) second. Laura Hmiel (Lindbergh) was third, with Brittany Tate (LSW) and Erin Beck (BVN) rounding out the top five.
