Highlights
- Bismarck ND seniors Joash Osoro (15:37) and Devin Huizenga went 1-4 and the HL#2 Demons used great depth as well to beat a field in the Boys Gold Race -- that included HL#1 Wayzata (3rd) -- with a low 75 points.
- Sioux Falls Roosevelt SD was solid all the way through, 1-5, in taking the Girls Gold title by 10 points with 138, beating a handful of regionally-ranked teams ahead of them. Seanna Kautz was 4th for the Rough Riders.
- Dowling Catholic jr Katie Flood won her 2nd straight Girls Gold title in 18:20, seven seconds up on teammate Ashlie Decker as the HL#1 team took 3rd without its #3 girl.
- Lee's Summit West MO, now part of the Nike Cross Nationals Midwest Region, took an impressive 2nd in both Gold races.
