SELECTION DATES
The selection of the 12 boys and girls from each CAM Region will be done in two groups:

Group 1 = the first 8
The 8 athletes with the best times meeting all the qualifying criteria will be invited after Regional Qualifier meets have been completed. If an invitation is declined or an acceptance is not received by the deadline included with the invitation, the next athlete on the list will be invited until the 8 spots are filled. Anyone not invited or not accepting will be eligible for the second group.

Group 2 = the final 4
The 4 athletes with the best times (meeting all the qualifying criteria) who are not in Group 1 will be invited after UIL Region meets have been completed. If an invitation is declined or an acceptance is not received by the deadline date included with the invitation, the next athlete on the list will be invited. Likewise, if a Group 1 accepted invitation is subsequently declined or the invitee is deemed ineligible for some reason, additional invitations will be extended with the intent of filling the 12 spots.

SOURCES FOR RESULTS
1. All meet results posted on:

texastrack.com Texas Track

AND

dyestattx.com DyeStatTX

will be reviewed and considered. The “list” of top times will be posted each week on DyeStatTX for your enjoyment and review. Remember, seeing your name on the list is not a guarantee of invitation. An email link will be available near the top of each weekly list to be used for any additions or corrections. You must use this link to submit any proposed changes. It is your responsibility to include an email from, and contact information for, the applicable meet director or coach associated with the meet itself who can supply meet results or verify the change in question. It is your responsibility to get this information and not the duty of CAM officials.

As the selection dates and deadlines get closer, the CAM Region coaches will likely be involved in contacting, discussing and verifying marks and proposed changes as they are typically closer to the situation and time is of the essence. If you are working with one of these coaches directly, you should still use the email link to let us know of the situation.

Spread the word about CAM! If you know someone who has run a time that’s on the list, or should be on the list, or that has been invited, make sure they know about CAM. It is the responsibility of coaches, athletes and parents to be aware of CAM as well as the rules and procedures outlined above.
