- Brother Martin, 3rd in state boys 5A last year, kicked off the season by scoring 36 with 4 in the top 10 for the team crown. Catholic, state silver in 2006, was next with 59.
- Catholic soph Philip Primeaux notched an impressive victory, clocking 15:51 ahead of Choudrant sr Kasey Baker, the state 2A runner-up in 2006.
- Mt Carmel tallied 64 for the girl’s team title, followed by St. Joseph with 85.
- St. Thomas Aquinas soph Malia Cali crushed the girls field, as her 17:43 was a 1:45 improvement over her 2006 winning time. Mt Carmel fr Morgan Passman earned silver in 19:33.
