FINALS:
Boys Pole Vault
Clear Brook TX sr Maston Wallace clears 16-6 on his 1st attempt. That was enough for the win, as Aledo TX sr Joseph Farley also cleared 16-6 with more attempts.

Boys High Jump
Mansfield TX sr Grant Lindsey soars 7-0 for the gold.

Boys Long Jump
Hearne sr Chris Carter put it together on his final jump, leaping 23-7 (+3.1w) in round 6. Hutto sr Jeremy Kerley had taken the lead in round 5 with his 23-5 (+3.2w), which was good enough for 2nd.

Boys 3200
Little Cypress-Mauriceville TX sr Drew Bean, the state 4A XC champ (in the 2nd fastest time of the day, wedged between Foot Locker finalists from the 5A race) took over with 2 laps to go in windy conditions, and broke the tape in 9:22.37. Coppell sr Taylor Ray nabbed silver in 9:26.78.

Boys 4x800 Relay
Southlake Carroll TX gets a fine anchor from Foot Locker finalist jr Colby Lowe, passing Jenks OK to win 7:56.16 to 7:59.52 in windy conditions.

Boys Sprint Medley Relay
Cypress Falls TX battled with Skyline TX, and it came down to the highly-anticipated anchor between Skyline soph Howard Shepard and Cy Falls jr Blake Shaw,
1-2 respectively at last year's USATF Jr Olympics in 1:52.25 (that's right, as a freshman!) to 1:53.61. Not to be denied this time, Shaw sat on Shepard's shoulder through
a 51-point first 400 and pulled away on the 2nd lap for a fine 3:28.18 winning time. Skyline held on for silver in 3:28.89.

Boys 2000 Steeplechase
Dripping Springs TX sr Brandon Chiuminetta topped the field with a 6:07.28 clocking.
Girls Pole Vault
Vandebilt Catholic LA jr Rachel Laurent wins with fewer misses at 13-4 over Mansfield TX soph Shade Weygandt, duplicating their Nike Indoor National finish. This was PR for
Laurent. Both were unsuccessful at 13-8, which would have been a US soph class record for Weygandt.

Girls High Jump
Current US# Marshall sr Brittani Carter ekes out a win over 2 others at 5-7, as weather continues to deteriorate with cool , windy conditions expected to turn very rainy overnight.

Girls Long Jump
Greenville TX sr LaQuinta Ross claimed the title with a 19-8.24 effort (+2.6w), followed by Odessa TX sr Bree Carter's 19-4.75 (+3.1).

Girls 3200

McKinney North TX sr Samantha Means pulled away late for the 10:38.82 victory over fellow Foot Locker finalist Bishop Lynch TX sr Kinsey Farren in 10:41.73.

Girls 4x800 Relay
Fairview CO struck gold in 9:24.45. Sara Cocco, 2:07.56 as a junior last year, ran the anchor for the winners, closing a big gap on the first lap.

Girls Sprint Medley Relay
Houston Lamar TX took the title in 4:02.81, holding off A&M Consolidated TX in 4:04.60.
