Highlights
- 2008 NIN 200 champ Fuquawn Greene (Track Eastern Carolina/New Bern NC sr) showed great early-season and early meet form with two US#1s in prelims: 6.77 60 and 21.53 200 (US#2 by end of day), then followed with 6.83 and 21.60 in the finals
- Herrin IL sr Zack Riley equaled the US#1 HJ with 6-10, beating multis star Gunnar Nixon OK (6-08) and World Youth team member Dwayne Golbeck OK (6-08). Nixon came back to win the 60H in 8.20
- Frosh Aaliyah Brown (Lincoln Way East/Illinois Elite) zipped a US#5 7.62/US#3 24.70 double for 60/200, coming after club teammate and Plainfield North IL soph Cessily Jones ran a then-US#1 in prelims, 24.82 in the 200, and also led 60 qualifying in 7.72. Jones ran 7.63/24.89 in the finals
- Breeana Coleman (Stride-Ryte/Olathe East KS sr) won the 60H in 8.89 after 8.86 prelim
- Plainview OK sr Danielle Nowell won girls PV with 11-06
- Westminster MO jr Daniel Everett took the mile in 4:18.25, beating Colin Slattery (Winners Edge/MacArthur TX sr) 4:18.61 and Dennis Hodapp (Winners Edge/St. Michaels TX sr) 4:19.20
- Lancaster TX sr Kourtney Payne won the 800 in 1:58.47
- Megan Paul (Illinois Elite/Carmel Catholic IL soph) won the 400 in 57.40 after a 57.16 in the prelims
- Isaiah Duke (Edmond Sprinters/Memorial OK soph) won the 400 in 49.57
- Andrew Akens (Mesquite Flames/North Mesquite TX) scored a winning 56-10.75 shot put
- Cahokia IL jr Vernon Carter just missed his triple jump PR with a winning 47-02
