Class 4A Highlights
  • Sherwood sr Solomon Haile, having been cleared by the state association to compete, topped Graham Bazell's recently set course record, becoming just the 2nd under 16:00 with his 15:46.  His performance was good for a 40-second win over Walt Whitman jr Andrew Palmer.

  • Walter Johnson soph Anna Bosse held off Eleanor Roosevelt sr Teshika Rivers for the individual girls title, 19:38-19:42.  Bosse's time was the best of the day.

Class 3A Highlights
  • Atholton sr Graham Bazell chose not to go for the Solomon Haile's new course record and instead cruised to a 16:29 win, topping teammate Michael Lynch by 21 seconds.
  • With the 1-2 finish, Atholton built enough of a cushion to hold off Bel Air for the boys team title, 69-74.
  • Bethesda-Chevy Chase sr Addie Tousley was the only 3A girl under 20:00 with her winning 19:59, 35 seconds ahead of Howard sr Elyse Birisko

Class 2A Highlights
  • Craig Morgan and Sean Kirby of River Hill ran 16:46 and 16:56 to give their contending boys team a great start, finishing 1st and 2nd overall.
  • Mt. Hebron boys overcame River Hill's 1-2 finish and used its great depth (4 in top 12) to score 57 to River Hill's 105.
  • For the girls, though, River Hill came from behind, gaining 12 points on Century with their last two runners to win 47-48.
  • Century had the individual winner, as soph Maura Linde ran 19:48, seven seconds ahead of Mt Hebron's Becky Yep.
Class 1A Highlights
  • South Carroll's Jake Zamostny ran 16:58 to take the individual title ahead of Smithburg jr. David Wilson

  • Bohemia Manor made it a sweep of the Class 1A races, scoring 54 and making South Carroll (69) the bridesmaid again.
  • The winners got a 1-2-3 finish, in team scoring, led by Jen Cleary (20:24, 2nd overall), but Brunswick sr Sara Fisher was the overall champ with a 20:11.
