Girls Highlights
  • NE#1 Hanover was absolutely overwhelming in its 4th straight Class "I" championship run, taking 5 of the top 9 spots and scoring 23, a total that would have won a dual meet against the rest of the teams combined. Winner Georgia Griffin (18:01), soph Heidi Caldwell (2nd 19:06), sr Bridgette Black (5th 19:25), jr Grace Rodriguez (6th 19:43), and sr Beth Taylor (9th 19:46) were all under 19:50. They averaged 19:12, close to 2:00 faster than runner-up Oyster River (21:01, 134 pts.).
  • Georgia Griffin's Class "I" title was her 3rd straight, but never has she been this dominant. She was 59 seconds faster than anyone in any class.
  • Keene scored 80 points and took the Class "L" championship behind the first place finish of sr Eliza Webber (19:00, improving from 15th) and solid depth. Bishop Geurtin was 2nd with 105 and honorable mention Pinkerton (defending champ) was 3rd with 112. Defending champ Caitlin Rush was 8th.
  • Hopkinton ruled the Class M-S race with 24 points, taking 2-4-5-6-7. Junior Quinn Nichols led the winning effort with her runner-up 20:13, behind Sant Bani soph Mira Carey-Hatch's winning 19:55.
Boys Highlights
  • NE#6 Con-Val took 3 of the top 5 and 5 of the top 10 in crushing the Class "I" field. The repeat champs counted sr winner Alex McGrath (15:58), jr Ethan McBrien (4th 16:21), jr Dylan Fisher (5th 16:24), sr Justin Butler (9th 16:36), and sr Devon Butler (10th 16:49). Their 29-point total was 49 better than Hanover, and their 16:25 average was the best of the day.
  • Alex McGrath was the only runner under 16:00, clocking 15:58 and winning by 11 seconds over Fall Mountain jr Eric Malnati. He was 2nd as a soph and 3rd as a junior.
  • Nashua South suprised NE#10 and defending champ Merrimack for the Class L title, 59-89.
  • Manchester Central jr Cory Sinotte nipped Bishop Guertin soph Francis Hernandez, 16:07-16:08 for the Class L individual championship
  • In Class M-S, Mascenic Regional got a 1-2 from sr John Little (16:10) and jr Job Christiansen (16:22) and beat Hopkinton for the gold, 50-73. It was Mascenic's 3rd straight win. Those 2 took 1-3 last year and in 2005, Christiansen won as a freshman and Little was 5th.
