  • The South Brunswick girls, which broke the meet and Middlesex County record in the 4x1,600 on Tueday, added meet records in the SM (4:10.5) and DM (12:54.9). as it ran away with its fourth straight title, 138-58, over runner-up Woodbridge.
  • It's the highest finish ever for the Woodbridge girls, which won both the 4x100 and 4x200 and the javelin. Junior Victoria Tudor anchored both sprint relays for Woodbridge.
  • The Old Bridge boys, which won the shot put, 4x1,600  and 400 hurdles on Tuesday, picked up wins in the 4x800 and DM on Wednesday on its way to a 96-70 win over runner-up St. Joseph's. It's the fourth straight title for Old Bridge, which has now won eight of the last 10 titles.
  • Old Bridge won despite missing All-State 800/400/400 IH man Sean Lunkenheimer (out for season witha stresss fracture).
  • Old Bridge's eight total boys team titles is one short of the GMC record of nine held by St. Joseph's .
  • In a very strong and exciing discus competition, Jorge Merino of Old Bridge, who led his team to the shot put title on Tuesday, came up with a huge personal and meet best 161-7 on his final attempt to help Old Bridge take second in that event. Merino's throw topped the 154-8 by freshman state record holder Sam Mattis of  East Brunswick, who had that throw prior to Merino's 161-7.
  • Jon Marques (50.8 in the SM and 50.5 in the 4x400) and Matt Delaney (2:01.8 in the SM and 50.7 in the 4x400) each picked up golds in the SM and 4x400 for St. Joseph's.
