- Monster day for Great Neck South NY sr Terrance Livingston, who nailed two US#1's in a matter of hours, first turning in a 2:30.81 win in the 1000, then coming back to blaze a 1:20.41 600 victory
- Gill St. Bernard NY sr Doug Smith continued his return to form with a 4:16.36 mile win over Bobby Andrews NY 4:17.39.
- McAuley NY jr Phyllis Francis approached her own US#1 600 time with a 1:32.30 winner over Garden City NY star Emily Menges 1:33.67
- Newburgh NY blazed a 3:21.52 victory in the boys 4x400, and Newburgh's Fred Lockary clipped off a 34.55 win in the 300 over Nazareth's Sean Atkinson at 34.79
- Arlington NY seniors John Muller and Adam Doherty combined for an impressive 1-2 in the boys 3200, running 9:11.23 and 9:18.20
- Another 1-2 finish was turned in by the Hempstead NY pair of Donnalee Hylton (39.27) and Velma Morant (39.83), taking the top two spots in the girls 300
- Fast girls distance races from Ward Melville's Mary Kate Anselmini, turning in a 2:57.86 1000 victory, and Hempstead NY's Charlene Lipsey, showing range with a 5:02.62 mile win
