DyeStat US#1 Performances
2008-2009 Indoor Season

2/9-2/15 Notables
  • Wayne Davis II NC is officially ALL the way back from the injury that messed up his 2008 outdoor season.  Statisticians can forget about the "en route" designation that accompanied his 7.06 USR for 55H, thanks to his US#1 7.05 55H at the NC State meet last weekend.  He also became #2 all-time for the 42" 60H (college height) the night before with US#1 7.92 (not list event).
  • Any way you look at it, Eleanor Roosevelt MD girls are ruling the 500m, but Doris Anyanwu got cheated a bit when the timing system in her region meet failed and she wound up with a 1:14.6h, slightly (instrinsically) off the auto-timed 1:14.69 previously run by Afia Charles.  Anyanwu (and Charles) will have another chance at the MD state meet this week.
  • A mark set way back in mid-December at the Bishop Loughlin Games had been threatening to stay atop the US girls 300 list all winter, but Whitney Fountain blazed a 38.22 at the PSAL Bronx meet.  The most frequently-contested events that still have December leaders are the girls HJ (co-leader Tynita Butts), girls SMR, and girls and boys 2M.
  • This past weekend was the lightest in terms of US#1 revisions since the season heated up in January, thanks to a lack of major invites as the state season gets going.  This coming weekend, with the Simplot Invitational and other major meets, should put the new US#1s back in double digits.
6 NEW US#1s (so far) for week ending Feb. 15
