Weight Throw

The Simplot Games began  with the Weight Throw, an event that is dominated by the strong Georgia throwing Club, Throw 1 Deep.  But at the end at least one boy and one girl not on the Throw 1 Deep club made it to the awards stand.  This is an event that is frequently left out of most meets.  Consequently, many athletes throwing the weight at the Simplot Games do not do  as well as they would like.  Most of the athletes other than Throw 1 Deep prefer the shot and/or discus.  But they give it a try anyway.
