4 x 400-Meter Relay
The top six teams in the State advanced to the final. Dominguez (Compton), which just loves to push the peddle to the medal in the prelims and they did it again with a 3:12.77 win in heat one. Crespi (Encino) at 3:17.75 , Edison (Fresno) at 3:18.12 and Mission Hills (San Marcos) at 3:18.90 also advanced. Poly (Long Beach) ran 3:17.31, just fast enough to win heat two. Lutheran (Orange) was second at 3:18.50. Lincoln (San Diego) took the third heat in 3:15.66 with Washington (Los Angeles) second at 3:17.47 and Rancho Verde (Moreno Valley), third at 3:17.56.
