Erin Menefee of Mt. Carmel (San Diego), 13th in the state in this division a year ago, rolled to an easy victory with a 16:21, winning by 13 seconds over Paige Hughes of Valhalla (El Cajon). Menefee took advantage of the overcast, early-morning weather to roll to the victory. Valhalla placed three runners in the Top 10 to capture the team title with just 46 points. Mt. Carmel and Mission Hills (San Marcos) tied for second with Mt. Carmel getting the silver with its No. 6 runner.
