General Information
We have made some exciting changes to the meet this year. Please read through the following information and feel free to email me with any questions that you may have. Any times listed for events of course are not set in stone.
One of goals for our meet has been to allow coaches to compete all levels of athlete in an invitational format. We feel that this year, there are even more opportunities for teams and individual athletes. Later in this document, you will find more specific information.
Each athlete is limited to 3 events for the whole meet. Your entry fee is based on the number of events that you enter.
The meet this year is moving to a two day format. There are a number of reasons for this decision:
➢ We have the ability to have athletes use our gymnasium to warm-up on Friday in the event of cold and/or rainy conditions and bring them to the track for their races. Our gymnasium is about 200m from the track.
➢ This will give athletes much better recovery between events.
➢ We will be able to expand our field and quality, but still keep the meet manageable. The way we are handling entries this year will make the meet much more accessible to partial teams or individual athletes.
➢ Plans are to be finished on Saturday by 2:30pm.
As we have done in the past, coaches and officials will be offered both breakfast and lunch.
Awards will be given through 3 places. There will not be a team championship.
All timing will be FAT. The track was just resurfaced a little over a year ago.

Entry Fee
• The entry fee is based on the number of events entered.
• The cost will be $4 per event entered. The maximum cost for any athlete will be $12.
• To get a total amount for your entry check to cut, print out a report of your entries from hy-tek team manager, add all your entries (individual track, relay members, and field events) and multiply that number by $4.

• Checks can be mailed or brought to the meet. If you are bringing your check, please let me know.
• Any entry that is not a hy-tek team manager file will cost an additional $50. You need to contact Jay if you need an alternative entry procedure.
Entry Proceedure
• Each athlete is limited to three events for the meet. I am relying on coaches’ integrity obviously. Please do not put me in the position of questioning anyone’s integrity.
o This is a meet limit.
o If you have an athlete that runs three sprint races and does multiple jumping events, you will need to pick three events for this meet.
o If any athlete participates in more than three events, they will be disqualified from all events that they have participated.
• Each team will be allowed to enter up to 6 athletes in an individual event (only one relay per team though) until events fill to a certain level. Once that level is reached, teams will be limited to 1 entry per event. When events are filled, Jay will be sending out email notice to any coach that has requested the hy-tek file and sending updates to milestat.com. If there is an issue with a team’s entry after an event is full, Jay will contact the coach about any issues.
• For meet entry, email me at [email protected] and I will respond to you and attach the hy-tek file you will need to import into your team manager. The hy-tek file will be sent out starting in early March and entries will close on Sunday, March 30. All entries need to be sent to my hotmail account.
• Relay entries need to have names listed since each leg counts towards that athlete’ entry limit and fee. If a relay is entered with no names listed, the relay will not be entered into the meet. You need to list alternate if needed. The alternates count toward the three event limit, even if they do not run. Once the entries are closed, alternates will not be switched from relays to open events, or vice-versa. Please do not ask.
• Below you will find example of entry limits:
o If you have an athlete that is entered in the 3200m, 4 x 800m and the 800m, they are at their three-event limit and cannot be listed or used in the 4 x 400m, even if you did not use them in the 4 x 800m.
o If an athlete is entered in the long jump, 300m hurdles, and 4 x 100m they would not be eligible for any field events or running events on Saturday. This is not a VHSL rule. This is a rule for only this meet.
o Do not ask me to change an athlete from the 4 x 800, even if you are only using them as an alternate, and then to enter them into the 1600m.
