2nd Hartford Riverfront Cross-Country Festival

5000m Varsity and Junior Varsity Boys and Girls Races
September 13, 2008 first race at 10am
Hosted by the Capital Preparatory Magnet School

Meet Director: Scott Wojnarowicz 860-695-9820 [email protected]

On September 15, 2007, the Hartford Riverfront Cross-Country Festival brought the city of Hartford name recognition within the circles of competitive running comparable to other top cross-country meets in the region. With Danbury, top ranked nationally and regionally, along with top Northeast teams Glastonbury (boys and girls) and Germantown Friends competing, the HRXC Festival became one of the first meets to act as a premier Northeast “pre-season” event. Boys’ competition featured national contenders Donn Cabral, Willie Ahearn and Max Kaulbach; while the girls Invite race hosted four of the top ten finishers at the New England Championship. The event was covered by media such as a Nike sponsored running website (www.dyestat.com) and a variety of print journalists from Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
