GWI vs. FLNO
The Foot Locker National Outdoor championships and the Golden West
Invitational were held on the same weekend. Both lay claim to being the
unofficial national championship for high school track and field. Here are
comparisons of the winning performances at the two meets. Out of 15 common
events, FLNO boys were best in 10, and the GWI girls edged the eastern meet,
8-7.
