Subject: t-and-f: HS New Englands
Some of the highlights were: Andy Powell of Oliver Ames running a 9:04.49
3200, Mohamud of Bostin English cruising to a 4:12.29 mile and coming back to
anchor 2nd in the 4 x 440. He was a step behind my runner when he received
the baton and blew by my anchor who ran a 50.3. I'm guessing he ran about
49.4. Gloucester and St John's Prep of Mass ran an exciting 4 x 880 in
8:02.69 and 8:02.85.
Sheela Agrawal of Case HS probably had the best performance of the day.
She destroyed the field of 6 national qualifiers from the beginning and ran
10:39.45. And I'm not sure and I might be spreading rumors but someone told
me she has cancer and had chemo 2 weeks ago. If someone could fill us in more
on her that would be great.
All in all it was a great day with many great performances.
