Nike Athletes of the Year - Girls

These are the most outstanding high school athletes of the year in track and field and cross country. Anyone setting a national record was automatically selected. Then we added athletes with two US#1 performances or two national meet titles or one of each. The following meets were counted as national meets: Foot Locker, Simplot, National Scholastic Indoor Championships (NSIC), Nike Indoor Championships (NIC), Arcadia Invitational, Penn Relays, Great Southwest Classic (GSW), Golden West Invitational (GWI), adidas Outdoor Championships (AOC), and US Junior Nationals. Honorable mention goes to such worthy contenders as Sunni Olding and Jazmine Baldwin who had only one national title.

- Relentless anchor on Poly's all time great relay squad, which set national records in 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 this year. The only significant relay she lost was the Penn Relays 4x100 to Simone Facey's Jamaican team, but Poly set a US record of 44.50 in that race.
